Running is a Work of Art Route




“Running is a Work of Art” Route Information:
Route will be well marked and volunteers will direct runners on course. Course Map (4.0 miles)

Course description is as follows:
Starts at Gate of Washoe Park Trout Hatchery, turning East onto West Pennsylvania St.
After approximately 1 mile at intersection of Pizzini Way and East Pennsylvania St., turns Southward, keeping right on East Pennsylvania St.
At Goosetown Racquet and Health Club turn left and then quickly right onto Pauline Drive, heading East. At next intersection, turn right (North) on to Jefferson way and then right (East) onto Heather Drive. At next intersection, keep right on Heather Drive. At the end of Heather Drive at the intersection of East Pennsylvania St./Montana Drive, Turn left (East). Follow Montana Drive until it dead-ends at the National Guard Armory on N. Polk St., Turn Left (North). At next intersection, turn left (West) on Anaconda Drive. This is the approximate 2 mile mark in the course. At next intersection, turn right (North) on N. Harrison St..
At next intersection, turn left (East) on Deer Lodge Drive. Course now changes to a dirt road and paved walking trail.
Follow trail as it crosses Pizzini way at entrance to the Old Works Golf course and proceed East on trail parallel to Pizzini Way along Warm Springs Creek.
Trail transitions to sidewalk as it approaches N Cedar St. at the approximate 3 mile mark. At N Cedar St., turn right (North).
At intersection with Copper Sands Road, turn left (East) and join back up with the paved trail. Follow trail as it runs next to Warm Springs Creek.
Trail crosses the intersection of N Maple St and Washoe Park Road. Trail crosses Warm Springs Creek as course nears. Cross bridge and turn right, continuing East on trail. Proceed to finish line, turning South at clearing East of the ball field.
